Though, cello is my primary instrument, and what I have spent most of my life studying, I have also developed a strong foundational understanding of playing technique for all the string instruments. Haveing taught orchestra in a public school setting it is required to have this basic understanding, so I am confident in my teaching beginners in the following instruments.

Teaching Philosophy
I once heard a cello teacher on a podcast say, “Everyone deserves the opportunity to create beautiful music.” I wish I could remember who it was—I listen to so many different podcasts—but that statement has stayed with me ever since.

Music has unlocked a part of me I could never put into words. It’s been a powerful force of healing in my life, and I want that same experience for my students.
To reach that kind of deep expression, I also believe in the importance of reliable technique. A solid foundation is essential for true freedom in music. I am always looking for new techniques and approaches to better help my students understand the intricicies of cello playing.
